Water Fun!

You have been having fun in the sun and water this summer, Yvette! You have been going out on the boat with Pop and your Dad and you have the best time out there on the water! You have also started to go "swimming" in Nana and Bonesy's pool. You like to jump from the ladder and "fly" as you call it into the water. (: Next week you will see some really big fish in water at the aquarium. Love you my boo boo!

Our Sweet Girl

You are getting so big and so pretty, Yvette. We have been having fun already this summer with trips to the zoo, Otsiningo Park, our backyard water and sand play, Target (:, Nana and Bonesy's pool, Grammy and Pop's boat, Patty, Jackie, and Jane's house, visting Ge and Pop, and a fun trip to Annapolis at the end of July! Next summer we'll get back to the beach, but your brother is too little this year to hit the waves. You are such a good 2 year-old and I love the memories we are creating together.

Big Sister News!!!

Yvette Patricia Herrick you are now officially a big sister!!! (: Clive Paul Herrick was born May 16,2011 at 11:31 a.m., weighing 8lbs.3 oz., 21 inches. You have been giving him lots of kisses, helping mommy get diapers, and showing "Cwive," as you call him, what a wonderful, loving big sister he has. We love you and your brother so much, Yvette!!! Fly Fishing

Here you are in your first fly fishing vest! Bonesy bought it for you when we were up in Maine at L.L.Bean. He loves to go fly fishing and can show you how to do it someday. (:

The last picture is of you and me... you are going to be a big sister in about 1 month! You love to push on my belly to make the baby "move" and frequently talk to the baby telling him or her- "coming soon."

More Fun!

Last week you got to go to Barnes and Noble again...this time with Nana, Patty, and Jane where you heard stories and got to make a beautiful bat made from your hand! (:

ABC's, 123's, Monkeys, and More!

You are going to be 2 soon, Yvette and you have amazed us with what you have learned in this short time! You can say a lot of the letters of the alphabet and the song at the end. You LOVE to count and 7-8-9 seems to be your favorite consecutive trio to say. You have started identifying colors and pink seems to stand out as one you really like. "5 Little Monkey's Jumping on the Bed," is a nightly (and daily) request and you can even tell us what the doctor said. You have started to take some interest in potty training...we still have time to work on that one. (: You love pizza, yogurt, strawberries, cherries, and salad...and of course, ice cream. You even went to your first "show" to see Elmo and the Sesame Street Crew! You love "Percy-Remy" and I think you really missed them this week. You are starting to say simple sentences and often ask us, "What doin'?" or tell me in the morning, "Daddy was workin'." Thank you for making our lives so incredibly full of love and joy, Yvette...we love you!!!!

Nana, Bonesy, Patty, and Jackie are in San Diego this week enjoying some warm weather, so you got to spend the whole week with Grammy and Pop! You had a good time at Barnes and Noble with Grammy the other day and even made a beautiful caterpillar!

Winter Pics

We have been having quite a winter, Yvette- cold and snowy! We also celebrated some birthdays, most recently Gammie's 90th!We would also like to throw out some belated birthday wishes on here to Ge, Pop, and John! Today is Jackie's birthday, so Happy Birthday, Jackie!!!!!
