Christmas Time!

What a fun, Christmas! Yvette you are such a sweet, loving 2 year old and Santa thought so, too. (: He brought you a new doll house and Dora stuff. You helped your brother open presents, too. It was a wonderful, special day and we loved every minute of it!
We've been having fun over the break by going to Skate Estate to ride your scooter and even try out roller skating. We went to Chuck E Cheese today with some friends and you had a great time "riding a horse" and swinging on the wind up clock. Thank you for being such a wonderful daughter, Yvette! We love you.

Pumpkin Carving!

Well since we couldn't make it to the pumpkin carving party yesterday because of the October snow and the messy cold you have, we had our own pumpkin party! (:

Definitely 2!

Oh, Yvette! You are certainly a 2 year old! A darn cute one at that. (: You have become VERY independent and you love to do everything by yourself. You frequently say, "hey, don't help me," and "do byself." You are wonderful with your baby brother, but you are keenly aware of "your" toys that he is not supposed to have or look at. You recently told Grammy that you "wear big girl panties like Trevor." You have discovered that chasing the animals with your baby toy stroller is quite a game...not one enjoyed by both parties. You are becoming familiar with hearing the word "no" when heavy objects fly across the room, when there is high pitch screaming, or the toilet bowl is flushed over and over again. On Tuesdays we go to a Beep Bop class where you jump, dance, and move with other little kids. You weren't too sure about it at first, but now I can't get you off the mats!

Aside from some challenging moments, you are a funny, loving, beautiful little girl that fills our hearts with pride and joy every day. When you tell us "I wove you" and give us hugs, you make even the worst of days seem okay. (:

Getting Dressed

You love getting dressed on your own now and actually do not like it when we try to help...until you say, "need help." You also love to say, "look at me," whenever you do something new and fun...like getting dressed on your own!

Annapolis Trip

We took you and your brother for a trip to a Annapolis. It was his first but not yours. It was your first trip to the Baltimore Aquarium, where you looked at some big fish...and absolutely loved the stairs and escalators. It was a rather quick trip with a 2 year old and a 10 week old... 1 hour, two stuffed animals, and $75 later and our trip was complete. We'll take you and your brother again when you're both a little older and we can really enjoy all the fish. (:

You also had your first encounter with Maryland crabs...and you loved them, thankfully!!! (: They are your mom's most favorite food in the world and I was so happy to share the experience with you. Your dad loves the soft shell crabs...wait until you try one of them!

Playground

We've spent a lot of time searching for the perfect playground this summer and you certainly know what it takes to make a great one, Yvette! You ask almost daily to go to the "Pwayground" and we then search Broome County for one you haven't conquered yet. On Tuesdays you meet with a bunch of kids on a huge playground with a sand area. The playground in the pictures is at Brookside Elementary where your Nana used to work. The last picture of you is when we had to leave. (:
