Happy Friday!

Hooray for the weekend! That means we get to spend more time with you, Yvette. (: This month has been cold and snowy and it will be sooooo nice when we don't have to bundle you up anymore.

Getting Mobile and Still Getting Better...

Our house is now your obstacle course and you are slowly conquering it, one chair and dog at a time. You are even figuring out how to bounce on your mattress in the crib and you laugh hysterically at yourself while doing this.

You are still getting over your sickness, which has now been determined to have been Roseola (check that one off your list of firsts). You can sort of see the rash that appeared all over your head and trunk on Saturday when your fever broke. It's apparently common and almost all kids will get it by age 3. And cousin Matthew thought he was doing everything first! Pfff- we'll show him (we won't give it to him, though)!

Getting Better

No more fever-yay! Your Dad and Grammie took you to the doctor yesterday and she said it was just a virus and that you would be better soon- she was right. (: Thank you for all your loving care, Nana, Grammie, and Trev! It was hard going to work, but I knew she was in excellent arms. (:

Today you have mastered the crawl! You started putting one knee ahead, then the other earlier this week...today you went from one side of the room and back with a full fledge crawl. When you get tired, you resort back to the worm crawl. You also pulled yourself up completely on the coffee table. All cribs are now lowered, since that is another of your favorite pull up places.

The pictures show you in your new Peruvian sweater and you are sitting in the rocker that my Gammie (Jane) gave you for Christmas.

Some More Firsts

Today you are home sick. ): You are going on day 3 with a fever of 102(your first one), so a trip to the doctor is in store today since they said to come in if it didn't go away. Grammie and Nana have watched you the past two days and today your dad is staying with you. These pics were taken a few days ago by Grammie...we hope you are back to your happy self soon, Yvette.
You are getting your first tooth and just like being sick, it is no laughing matter. That little thing is doing everything it can to break through those gums. You are starting to pull up in your crib and anything else that you can find to grab on and lift up. You love to say "da da," and the "b" sound is used for just about everything else. Your favorite activity is to walk while we hold your hands. We love you, Yvette!

First Trip to Philly!

We took you on your first trip to Philadephia this past weekend! First we stopped in King of Prussia to visit with Danny and Viviana (Trevor's cousins that we often refer to as the Peruvians) where they fixed us an amazing Peruvian lunch. They also gave you an adorable sweater from Peru that you will be modeling very shortly with pics following immediately after. Then we stopped at Eric and Teri's house (also Peruvian cousins) where we spent some time with them and their 3 boys, Alexander, Gabriel, and Xavier.
Then it was on to Philly to see Aunt Nay, Uncle Kris, and Aunt Sarah (Robo)! Here you got to open more presents where you got a fun telephone toy, awesome books, and a hand knit sweater and hat. (: Thank you! We had a delicious dinner and some good times with the Wii and wine. You got to spend time playing with everyone and we watched Aunt Nay with her new vacuum sealer, where your dad even convinced her to seal some salad. We also got to see her new beautiful ring. (: You loved their cat, Jinx and he kind of liked you. Between not having a nap and teething, your night ended with some major fussiness, but we still had a blast hanging out with you on your first of many trips to Philadelphia!

Matthew's Toys!

Last weekend in Syracuse was a great one! You got to check out and use cousin Matthew's toys and you gave each and everyone of them your seal of approval. You even got in his crib to help him wake up from his nap...thanks for sharing and for being such a good sport, Matthew. (: We would like to thank our entire Syracuse family for such an enjoyable weekend- we love you and can't wait to see you again!

Finally...A Birthday Suit!

And the lucky recipient- Cousin John!!! (: Happy 30th Birthday, John! We've seen Matthew wear his birthday suit- we finally caught on that Yvette could wear hers, too! Have a great day, John- you are a very special person in our lives and we love you. (:

8 Months Old Today!

Here you are in your adorable hat on your 8 month old birthday. The hat was a gift from Matthew, Katie, and John- Thank You!!!(: Judging by our current weather, you will get a lot of use out of this fashion forward beauty of a hat! You have several other hats that you will wear over the winter and have multiple pictures taken of you because you are just too cute. (:
