Cruising!

Looks like you are practicing for your own picture on the face of Cruisers diapers- you even have the hand movement down like the baby on the front! Grammie and Pop found that a diaper box makes for a great free mobile toy. (:

I can't wait for Thursday and all of next week because I get to spend it with you, Yvette! We'll have fun at the park and checking out some new places. We love you!!!

Happy (Belated) Birthday, Katie!

It appears that you were searching for something for Katie D. in your toy box yesterday- it was after all her 30th birthday! You found what she always wanted- stacking cups and a flip book. (: We hope you had a great day celebrating and we love you!

We also celebrated Wyatt's birthday yesterday- he's 26 years younger than Katie. You had fun playing with Weston- you would open a flip toy and he would shut it. This went on until it was time to ride the tractor- a toy one that is. Of course, your mom forgot the camera to document the cute moments, but we're sure there will be more to come. (:

After all of this excitement, we went to A.C. Moore and Weis, where you proceeded to babble to everyone and entertain them with your high pitch scream. Judging by your reactions to everyone at Wyatt's and then in the public- we think the stranger anxiety has officially ended.

Discovery

Your dad and I took a walk over to the Discovery Center over the weekend and you got to explore their awesome little park. You got to try out all the colorful benches, go down a slide, see a wire polar bear, sit in a paddle boat, go in a cave, reflect and ponder, and visit a house. There were lots of fun kids to watch too. We're hoping the huge Adirondack chair is open for sitting babies the next time we go over there.
The one picture is called "Can you find Trevor?"- something Yvette and I say often on our long walks. We wouldn't have it any other way!

Popeye

Here you are with your classic Popeye face. (: It is no longer used when you are mad, but more for our enjoyment since you know you'll get a laugh from us every time you do it. Since it is going to be nice this weekend, your dad and I plan on getting you out in that backpack again and enjoying the first day of spring!

Happy St.Patrick's Day!

Happy St.Patrick's Day! You are our favorite little lucky charm, Yvette!

Here are the pictures from your first "show" in Annapolis! It was so much fun and you were even part of the entertainment- your dad and I presented you as the green baby. You clapped and screamed as the performers all carefully and with the utmost skill, presented their portion of the entertainment. Aunt Patty and Aunt Jackie sure know how to throw a party! Thank you so much for a memorable weekend.

Recap of A Great Weekend-Part 1

The weekend started with a great 1st birthday party for Cousin Matthew. There was an awesome cake made by Katie and the party was enjoyed by all. You and Matthew even got to eat together and put on a little show. He showed you how to eat cake in the fashionable 1 year old way- hand straight in the cake and then hand straight in the mouth- perfect! Thank you Matthew, John, and Katie! (:

Tomorrow will be a review of the remainder of the weekend in Annapolis- what a festive Irish time we had!!!

Happy First Birthday, Matthew!

Happy First Birthday, Matthew! You've come a long way, baby! (: In honor of you, Yvette decided to blog like you do and wanted to wish you a happy birthday from her point of view.

I wanted to get the word out to everyone, so I made a sign and wore it around for all to see. I stood at the gate and shouted at the top of my lungs that today was your birthday, Matthew. I then went on a mission to make sure all critters in our house knew, too. Chubby and Freyja were most interested and they send many birthday dog kisses your way. Mr. Cheswick in typical cat style, did not care. Yeats and Lyra, the other two cats, did not even bother to come down- but I screamed at a pitch only they could hear, so they got the message. I even played with my toys and babbled about what a special little cousin you are and how I can't wait to see you tomorrow. My mom told me that apparently it is a cousin tradition to smear peanut butter in the hair of the younger cousin, so I'll bring a jar so I can...wait- nevermind! I forgot who the younger one is here! We can just play and talk about all those crazy adults.

So thank you for making our world a happier, brighter place, Matthew. Thank you to Katie and John for a little boy that always brings a smile to our faces and love to our hearts. (: You are incredible parents and we celebrate you all on such a special day. We love you!!!

Cheese, Please!

Yesterday we enjoyed a nice happy hour and dinner with Ge and Pop and Nana and Bonesy. You love the cheese and frequented the table to load up. You also enjoyed the pink push car at Ge and Pop's. (: Thank you for a nice evening everyone!

Rest up, Matthew...you have some celebrating to do the next few days! Yvette just heard you are going to be getting lots of new, fun toys and she said she can't wait to try them all out. You can check her diaper bag on the way out to make sure she didn't sneak one in there. (:
