Fashion Show

Mommy is a little behind and out of order with blogging right now, so I'm doing a little back tracking, Yvette. Back in September, Aunt Patty hosted a fashion show along with Aunt Jackie and Gammie at their new house. You couldn't have been a more perfect model and you continue to rock the 18 month-old fashion world. We had a wonderful time and want to thank Patty, Jackie, and Gammie for our fall and winter fashions. (:

Octoberfest

Here you are at Grammie and Pop's house with a cute hat on. (: Speaking of Grammie and Pop, they are in North Carolina right now visiting your cousins, aunt, and uncle-Nathan, Tyler, Justin, Jeannine, and Damian.

Tonight we are going to Patty, Jackie, and Jane's house for Octoberfest (with a Sound of Music theme). It should be lots of fun and we will all have costumes on...including you! There will be entertainment and delicious food. No doubt it will be an evening to remember!

Our Little Pumpkin

The remaining pictures are of you picking your first pumpkin of the season at Nana and Bonesy's house. (: It started out small and green, as shown next to the Philadelphia mug (like that Renee?).

I had a wonderful summer with you and now you get to spend the days with Grammie and Nana. You are showing them all your new words and movements you learned over the summer. (: So what's new with you...Your ability to use a spoon is uncanny and mac n' cheese has nothing on you now! You can now say "pease" for please, which was learned with the help of ice cream. Your newest word is "ummm..." You jibber jabber away with complete thoughts and gestures, even though we don't have a clue what you are saying. It's adorable. You are still in the 90th percentile range for height and you can even grab onto the counter ledge. You love to do circles and then fall down from getting dizzy. You have even started walking backwards. You do not like it when I try to help you brush your teeth...you would rather do it yourself. You grab our hands and say "go," when you want to do something. Coloring is a closely monitored activity since the crayons don't always like to stay on the paper. You love to answer the phone with a "herrow," and carry your head to the side and have conversations. You love to feed your baby and help me change her. You love to fake us out by pretending to put something in your mouth...you get us every time with this one.

Beach Baby

You went on your first trip to the ocean, Yvette and we had a wonderful time! You loved the water and the sand and you played all day. You also loved chasing the seagulls. (: Your dad and I really enjoyed going out to eat with you and you are just perfect when we take you out. Aunt Nay Nay, Kelly, Sarah, Kassy, and Reenie came down on Sunday and got to spend some time with you, too. Your mom has lots of memories from the beach starting from when I was a little bit older than you with all of our family, all the way through college when I went to the University of Delaware, and now with you. Our family went every year to the beach and we hope to do the same with you.

15 Months and counting

Just some recent fun shots of you, Yvette. (: I have been having such a wonderful time with you this summer. We go for lots of walks and you love watching Freyja swim at the park. We go to the zoo and discovery center where you play with the animals and toys. You have several little friends who we have play dates with and you play dress up and scribble with their crayons. You are starting to get the hang of kicking in the pool...some days you like swimming better than others. (: You now yell "dowm" anytime you want to be put down...or picked up. Any bug you see you say, "go, bye." You still love shoes. You are starting to imitate people by trying to put keys in the door and watering the plants with your own little container. Yeats is your best friend and he lets you pat him pretty hard. Chubby is not so fond of the ear pulling, but he does love the food you feed him by hand from the high chair. You go outside every evening and pick rasberries and black berries with your dad...you eat more than both of us combined. You threw your first temper tantrum at Target when I took away a non-baby item...we quickly found the aisle with puffs and everything was fine again.

We love you, Yvette and we enjoy watching you grow every single day.

Congratulations Aunt Nay Nay and Uncle Kris!!!

On July 2, 2010 Renee and Kris got married!!!!!!!!! We had such a good time and so did you, Yvette! Aunt Nay Nay (whose name is now a staple in your growing list of words) looked so beautiful and she married a wonderful man who loves her and she loves very much. Our tradition at weddings is to wear wigs...maybe someday at yours Nay Nay and I will come out on the dance floor with them on!! We couldn't be happier for them both and we love them very much!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Green Shoes

Who loves green shoes? You do, Yvette! You loved them so much on move in day at Patty and Jackie's that you got two big blisters. Today we are going shoe shopping for Aunt Nay Nay's wedding, which is only 3 days away! (:
